Weasis 2.6.0 is available for download.

For the web distribution, it is recommended to use weasis-pacs-connector 6.1.3.

Some default behaviors has changed from the previous release:
  • Option to apply the latest Presentation State: the default value is now false, it was true before. This option can be changed either at the server side or in the client side form the preferences dialog.
  • With commands some parameters require quotes and in special context to escape special characters. With weasis-pacs-connector, no change is required.

And for developers:
  • Can be built with jdk 9
  • The default conf dir (target/conf) has changed for debugging in an IDE
  • The maven.localRepository parameter is not required any more
  • Changes in launcher and command sequences
  • Minor changes in API

Thanks for another great release, Nicolas.

I have a question about the dicomizer.

Is it possible to query a PACS server for a study to populate the metadata fields?
The ideia is to add scanned documents and store them in the PACS server as a new sequence for the queried study.

With the dicomizer you can import a large number of non DICOM images by sorting and grouping them into series. It is possible to provide a worklist or xml file to populate the DICOM attributes and then edit attributes manually (a configuration allow to choose which attributes are mandatory and editable). The images can also be edited (crop, orientation, contrast, filters, calibration and annotations). An extension to handle documents and videos could come later but the first goal is to focus on the images.

Weasis contains all the API to easily dicomize a pdf an store them to the PACS. So you can build a plugin.

No, the query/retrieve is an interactive process.

To open Patients/Studies/Series, you should use weasis-pacs-connector.

Dear Nicolas,

We would like to dicomize .pdf files to our PACS.
With current Weasis version, it seems it is only possible to dicomize images.
I saw this post about building a plugin, but I couldn't get the right direction for this particular customized work. Could you please let us know the main steps to accomplish this feature?

Thank you so much.
