Dear community,

a crazy idea has been on my mind for quite some time now: I would like
to see a command line client for Dataverse.

CLIs are often underestimated for managing and using services. Often I
feel a need to switch a configuration, do some actions or look into
something, but don't want to leave the CLI.

So my question is: do you feel such a need, too? Did you ever want to
shape your beloved scripts into a proper form, so it gets reusable and
sustainable?

Now might be the perfect time. I'd love to hear suggestions, see pull
requests coming, crazy ideas flowing for "dvcli".

Currently it's based at https://github.com/poikilotherm/dvcli and
doesn't do much. But maybe you can create an issue or reply here for any
feedback?

My first rough ideas are related to IQSS/dataverse-sample-data and its
automation for dataverse-kubernetes. But this tool should be usable by
everyone. Either admin, developer or user. It should make our valuable
guides for Dataverse easier to read, maybe even help installing - who
knows? It should run on any platform. Let's make it awesome!

Best,
Oliver

Shoutout to Stefan Kasberger: for this Python-based tool I will heavily
rely on his gorgeous AUSSDA/pyDataverse project!
