Dear Dataverse Community,

We are delighted to have such a fantastic group of keynote speakers and community presentations this year. The Dataverse Community Meeting is an opportunity to learn about the project, not only from those who created it but also from those who are using it day to day and contributing to making it better. Throughout the year we are fortunate to be in contact via this mailing list, community calls, and other communication venues, but it is the in this Annual Meeting when we have a chance to talk face-to-face, meet new contributors and collaborators, and strengthen our community. This in-person interaction is what has made our community so unique since the beginning!

I hope you can join this year. Please register if you haven't done so*:

Also, a reminder that we are now accepting proposals for posters. Submit your poster information this week, if you are interested:

*A reminder that Consortium members do not pay the registration fee. If you have difficulties covering the fee, please contact me directly (mcr...@g.harvard.edu).

"Whereas a great deal of collaborative work might potentially be performed at a distance, the formation of collaborations appears to be highly sensitive to information-rich face-to-face interactions."
