Dear Rotarians of District3830,

May we invite your clubs to send your delegate-golfers to the 1st Leg of the Governor's Cup.

All Star Team Governor Edna will be there to grace the event as well as with the District Officers to fellowship not only with golfers but also with every Rotarian, hole sponsors and advertisers who will be there on Sep 26.

One of the beneficiaries for this 1st Leg will be the Victory Liner Bus that will be converted into a kitchen in order to assist in the relief and feeding operations in case of calamities like typhoons, floods, fire, etc.

In  just one day, the following clubs have signified their intention to Co-Host the 2nd Leg Governor Edna Sutter Cup which we also call Paul Harris Cup (since we are celebrating the 100 years of The Rotary Foundation - Rotary International is now 111 years, though, if my senior memory serves me right):

2.  RC Palanyag Paranaque

3.  RC Makati North

4.  RC Makati Buendia

Again, the organizational meeting will be at Eagle Express Group Building at Building A, Cargo Village Complex, NAIA Avenue corner entrance of Multi-National Village, Paranaque to be hosted by it's Chairman PDG Angelito LITO Colona. We will be happy to see all the All Star Presidents of the above Clubs or your representative.

May we invite your clubs to send your delegate-golfers to the 1st Leg of the Governor's Cup.

 

All Star Team Governor Edna will be there to grace the event as well as with the District Officers to fellowship not only with golfers but also with every Rotarian, hole sponsors and advertisers who will be there on Sep 26.

 

One of the beneficiaries for this 1st Leg will be the Victory Liner Bus that will be converted into a kitchen in order to assist in the relief and feeding operations in case of calamities like typhoons, floods, fire, etc.

Our team captain, PDG Lito Colona is sounding his appeal for around 20 golfers to participate in the Phi. Rotary Golf Fellowship in Cagayan de Oro City for Feb 9 and 10, 2017.

Last year, we participated in the said annual golf fellowship in Bacolod city where most of the players come from the Club of PDG Boyet Limon.

Dear Rotarian Golfers and PRFGF Members :  The heat is on as the ten districts of the Philippines battle again in a two round of golf at the 5th Philippine Rotary Open on February 9 and 10 at the Pueblo Golf and Country Club, Cagayan De Oro City. There will be a welcome dinner at Mallberry Hotel, CDO on February 8, 2016 at 7:00pm. Our official hotel will be Mallberry Hotel where the February 10 Awarding Ceremonies will be held. Individual Tournament Fee for the two day golfing event is just P3,000.00 which includes GREEN FEE, GIVEAWAYS, RAFFLE, SHUTTLE SERVICE AND TWO BUFFET DINNERS.  All par 3s will have hole in one prizes to include among others:  Yamaha Golf Cart  P100,000.00  Hyundai Eon Car  Tricycle  Mulligan, Carts and caddie fees are for players account.  Aside from the individual events, there will be two team events, namely: Inter Club Championships Tour Fee 1,500 per team, and Inter District Championships Tour Fee P3,000 per district.  Please find the procedures for registration:  1. Here's the list of qualified Club Teams for the Tournament of Champions on May 16, 2017 at the Orchard Golf Club:

First Leg also called Tummy Truck Project - Sep 26, 2016

    Champion - RC Fort Bonifacio Global City

    2nd Place -  RC Paranaque Palanyag

    3rd Place  -  RC Paranaque Poblacion

Second Leg also called Rotary Foundation Golf - Nov. 28, 2016

    Champion - RC Makati Legaspi

    2nd Place  - RC Paranaque Palanyag

    3rd Place  -  RC Makati West

Third Leg also called the Rotary Homes Golf - Feb. 28, 2017

     Champion - RC Paranaque East

     2nd Place - RC Makati West

     3rd Place -  RC Paranaque Palanyag

Notice that Paranaque Palanyag won 3 times and Makati West also twice. 

Therefore, those Club Teams that were qualified are as follows:

1.  RC Fort Bonifacio Global City

2.  RC Paranaque Palanyag

3.  RC Paranaque Poblacion

4.  RC Makati Legaspi

5.  RC Makati West

6.  RC Paranaque East (defending Champion)

7.  RC Rizal West (Feb. 28, additional Club team selected/qualified)

8.  RC Makati (Feb 28, additional Club team selected/qualified)

Supposedly, there were 4 legs. However, Gov Edna decided to drop the 4th leg, hence we decided to get  the 2 additional Club Teams who played last Feb. 28. The initial target was to have at least 12 Club Teams competing at the ToC.

However,  all other Clubs in the district, Rotarians and guests are still enjoined to play and they can qualify for the Individual Awards such as Class A, Class B, Class C and Ladies division. We will still have the other awards such as longest drive, accurate drive, nearest to the pin, longest putt, Overall Lowest Net, Overall Lowest Gross.

We will provide you with further details, though the Rules of the Tournament will be the same as that of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd legs.  The overall coordinator for this Tournament of Champion is Rotary Club of Paseo de Roxas, who will start issuing announcements covering the said tournament.
