These guidelines can help you find answers to your questions, as well as provide Cytoscape staff with the information needed to answer your questions quickly and effectively.

Before you post

  • If you have a question about using Cytoscape, try exploring the Cytoscape manual here.
  • Check to see if a similar discussion already exists. You can search existing posts via the search widget at the top of the group page. You can also check out all the available tags for the group here.
  • Please refrain from posting the same question more than once. We try to respond to all questions on a weekly basis.
When you post

  • Your subject should be specific and describe the contents of the discussion. This can help other users find your post later on.
  • When asking questions, include all the necessary information needed to answer. Let us know which version of Cytoscape you are using. If you are using specific apps, list their name and version number. If you have any data or session files that you can share, attach them to your post.
After you post
  • Let other posters know if their feedback helped resolve any questions.
