LOCAL ARTISTS AND AUTHORS WEEKEND--MARCH 26-27
Milford, CT. Wild Expressions, one of Milford's most respected and highly recommended florists, and Collected Stories Bookstore of Walnut Beach will be hosting a local authors and artists weekend on Saturday and Sunday March 26th and 27th at their store in Walnut Beach.
This event is being held to celebrate the joining of these two successful businesses.
Everyone is invited to meet local artists Jamie Vega, Maria Gaffney, Dmitiry Tucker, Linda Gibson and photographer Pam Landry on Saturday. Then on Sunday, beginning at 2:00, local authors Michael Dooling,
Cherylann Fernandes, Thomas Macdonald, Connecticut Post bureau chief and author, Frank Juliano and other authors will be available to discuss and sign copies of their books.
Performers for the event include Tim Payson and--from the Milford Folk Music Society--Phillip Givens.
Events begin at 11:00 on Saturday and there will be other events throughout the both days with a raffle being held on Sunday at 4 pm.
Wild Expressions Florist and Collected Stories Bookstore of Walnut Beach feature floral designs by award winning florist Tyyne Catapano and a unique selection of books--rare and new--selected to satisfy any reading taste; the store also features works by local artists and artisans as well as one-of-a-kind gifts.
This event is free and open to everyone. Food and beverages will be available.
