Unzipping GZ file fails with "Error GZIP header, first magic byte doesn't match"

Hi,

I tried unzipping GZ file which contains .dat file successfully, but task fails when I tried unzipping GZ file containing .txt file with "Error GZIP header, first magic byte doesn't match".

Following is my set up for both :

Action: Decompress

Type : File

Level: GZip

I am using Version - Cozyroc SSIS+ 1.6 SR-3.

SSDT Version : 2012

Please help me understand the issue.

Hello,

If you are getting this error, the input file is most probably not a GZip file.
