Hi All!

I've noticed a couple of threads dealing with rural coworking lately,
and I'm working on putting together an article about this topic for
Shareable.

Coworking is an easy sell in densely populated urban areas that
already have a high tech-adoption rate, but I'd like to look at
community differences (or similarities) when the population is
smaller, more remote, and not focused on tech industries.

If you're a rural coworking space owner, or someone who's working to
bring coworking to a less populated area, and would be willing to
answer a few questions on the topic, please reply!! I can also be
reached off list at goneco...@gmail.com

Thanks!
Beth

Hi Beth,

How can I help? I have a co-working community in Camp Hill, PA which
is outside of Harrisburg, but we are still a small city.

Hi Beth -- I just opened La Venture Station in La Grange, Kentucky -- population 8,000 in a county that houses 60,000 people. We're located almost halfway between Louisville and Cincinnati. And, we're not tech-focused. Would be happy to talk with you.

Cheers,

Thanks to all that have replied...here and off list! It's great to see
how many "rural" coworking spaces are already in the works! Be on the
lookout for a direct message from me by early next week.

Beth- Is there any way we could capture that group of spaces somewhere out
here? With rural spaces being a growing segment, spaces like Veel Hoeden in
Pella (town of 10,000)would like to keep communication between these spaces
flowing.

Thanks & God Bless,

A small group of us has been working together over the past few months
to create a vibrant, creative collaborative coworking space in Port
Townsend, WA - we're calling it "The CoLab" (Get it? Collaboration + a
creative energy of a Lab.) We are conducting a community survey and
are gathering some great information, momentum and support.

Hi, Beth,

Kamer52 is in a city of 50K people in the south of the Netherlands.
Run by a transplanted American. :-)

If you want the transatlantic perspective, give me a call.

Via Google or Skype, probably.
