I think the nice way would be (in Spanish,) "decir sandeces".

Sorry, I hit an odd key-sequence that meant "send" to the computer!  :-(

Here are a few more examples I was adding:

• Bueno, me pareció que eran un montón de sandeces.
  Well, I thought that was a bunch of bunk.

Around these parts I hear it more as, "¡pura paja!"
