East Gippsland Maker Space (http://www.egmakerspace.org/) One of our fellow Aussie Maker Spaces, I heard about them a while ago but had no idea they had secured an old hospital for their space, its enormous.

In other news, Hack a Day are running a series of articles on Hackerspaces and are asking for video tours, if someone has a decent camera we should do one.

Road trip !

Perhaps collaborate with the egMakerSpace organizers about a visit,
perhaps one weekend, take down a bus load of Melbourne hackers with 3D
printers, Arduinos, etc. Perhaps this would help them build some
interest / membership ?

Anyone from egMakerSpace listening on our email list ?

Definitely. I'll bring along a camera (one of those hand-held HD
things) to a few meetings ... if everyone continues to do cool stuff,
then we should have plenty of material.

According to the website it's a sq "meter" space but I guess that's a country metre!

Road trip !

Judging from GODgle maps it's about 240 km as the satellite flies but the roads are definitely less direct.
