I've been collecting these for a while, the REAL questions for Exile III,
which contain some spoilers...

Why can't I fly over trees, even though I can fly over mountains?

How does flying over a swamp poison me?

Where in the world did the names Calloc and Malloc come from?

In Exile IV: Death to the Vahnatai, will there be an Realloc
town? a ANSI? a Printf? maybe a GetNewWindow? =>

Why didn't the Twan Kwan Leep boot me the head?

Why is Erika always getting a new tower?

How did Anaximander get to talk to Micah about Empress Prozac
after the portal to Tower of Magi broke?

How Micah's gloves get on surface?

How do I get to the special that says "She slowly unzips
her leather tight jumpsuit. "Oh Boy", you think"?

How did I get Anaximander to unzip his robes?
(not that I want, just a curiosity...)

Did X ever get that spell to drop anvil's on people's heads?

How did X go from eccentric to dark and foreboding?

Where can I find the demonslayer?

Where can I find the admanitite axe?

How many missions/dungeons/things to do...
Slimes
Cockroaches
Trogo/Giant
Golems
Stuff at end of game (keep, new factory, etc)
Marish people
Goblins+Brigands beginning
Murder cave
black halberd
pacthar's plate
knowledge brew (the best!!!!)
fury crossbow
zkal
sacred item cult
demon's in magi tower
Gukbar's pit (if you consider this a dungeon)
Agate tower
fiery pit (where Ernest sends you)
Golddale mine, ursagi valley
Vakkohs the vampire
Cauldorth's stupid tower where you don't get to go
back and search for secret passages after....
Stone circles
kill the dragons (bunch of losers this time around)
kill Erika (when I tryed, I was destroyed, how can I
survive, with cooling amulets?)
So far done all but stuff at the end, and tower of zkal,
looking for something interesting to do... (besides those!)

Just to make sure I understand, haakai are trapped in
altar, create stone circles to control people's minds to
release them? Can I destroy them (the circles)?

Why is Jekknol mentally screwed in Exile II, only to have
Vynas become mentally disturbed in Exile III??

How come even after I kill everyone in the Trogo castle, there are still guards
which block the stairways when I go downstairs? How come I can't kill them?

How do the weakling guards of Gale get my party into that cell?

How come I can't intimidate people who ask for bribes?
Why are they so stupid as to demand a bribe?

How come the guards around Lorelei can only tell when I have a 'suspicous
package', but not when I'm carrying Skribbane Herb?

Why can't Erika remove her curse?

Why did Erika sacrifice herself when I wasn't in danger? (Believe you me,
Rentar-Ihrno and her legion of annoyances couldn't lay a finger on me...)

What purpose did quickfire serve this time around?

Why didn't the vahnatai get smart and instead of slimes and cockroaches,
release
golems and alien beasts everywhere?

Why did Jeff have to find a way to get the cute happy _annoying_ spiders to the
surface?

How come there's no peticular cave in Exile III like there was in Exile II?
(It could have been between Upper Exile and The Vahnatai place...)

How come Rentar-Ihrno shows me the head of Bon-Ihrno, but if I go to house
after leaving (and I wasn't there before) her keep, he's there?

If Anthron doesn't want us hurting his(her?) precious babies, why does he(she?)
put them in our way and have them attack us!

How come in Exile II Sulfras was very annoyed at the Khoth, but now everythings
alright?

What was really supposed to happen with all the clicking in the Mad Monk's
tower? (I have a version where you can't walk down the stairs...)

What's with the secret lizard password? (SoHo)

And one real quick Exile II question: Why in Exile I is the Exit
(Final Gauntlet) in the nw corner if the map, but in Exile II it's in
the sw corner????

There are probably more I can't think of.....

These were just too fun. Had to respond. Spoilers ho ...

> Why can't I fly over trees, even though I can fly over mountains?

Lame justification - They're TALL.
Real reason - I needed a terrain that could block flying and be fit into
a wider variety of shapes. As kludgy as it was, trees were the only thing
that did the trick.

> How does flying over a swamp poison me?

Airborne vapors.

> Where in the world did the names Calloc and Malloc come from?

Having to come up with, like, 8 jillion town names. A silly season
invariably strikes.

> Why is Erika always getting a new tower?

First, she sells the old one at a profit, pays off the morgtage, and uses
the profits to move to a more fashionable neighborhood.

> How did Anaximander get to talk to Micah about Empress Prozac
> after the portal to Tower of Magi broke?

Wow. I totally didn't notice that. Ummm ... the same way he communicates
to you about the Tower of Magi disaster ... the ability to communicate
with people far away magically is well establishes, going back to Exile I.
(Whew!)

> How Micah's gloves get on surface?

This is a different Micah ... a powerful ancient wizrd who first created
the item type.

> How do I get to the special that says "She slowly unzips
> her leather tight jumpsuit. "Oh Boy", you think"?

You use ResEdit.

> Did X ever get that spell to drop anvil's on people's heads?

No ... some things are just to wonderful to be possessed by mortals. (btw,
the anvil thing is an ancient talk.bizarre running joke)

> How did X go from eccentric to dark and foreboding?

Stress of circumstances.

> Where can I find the demonslayer?

Forgot to put it in.

> Where can I find the admanitite axe?

It is in there, but I honestly forget where.

> Why is Jekknol mentally screwed in Exile II, only to have
> Vynas become mentally disturbed in Exile III??

Wow. It's amazing how more on top of these things people are than I am.

> How come even after I kill everyone in the Trogo castle, there are still
guards
> which block the stairways when I go downstairs? How come I can't kill them?

They hide when you're slaughtering everyone. Wouldn't you?
Actually, I'm trying to find an elegant way to fix this glitch.

> How do the weakling guards of Gale get my party into that cell?

Tasers.

> How come I can't intimidate people who ask for bribes?
> Why are they so stupid as to demand a bribe?

Because they're backed up by guards with tasers.

> How come the guards around Lorelei can only tell when I have a 'suspicous
> package', but not when I'm carrying Skribbane Herb?

Their magical spells are only calibrated to detect the leaves. The leaves
are highly processed in order to become the herb. (have you found the
processing plant?)

> Why can't Erika remove her curse?

Because the wizards who put it on her meant for it to STICK. It's too
strong even for her to defeat, esp. with the comparitively limited
resources of Exile.

> Why did Erika sacrifice herself when I wasn't in danger? (Believe you me,
> Rentar-Ihrno and her legion of annoyances couldn't lay a finger on me...)

She didn't intend to sacrifice herself. Plus, her arrogance finally got
the best of her.

> What purpose did quickfire serve this time around?

To annoy you.

Also, there are a few places where you can use quickfire to advantage.
What are they? (Heh heh heh)

> Why didn't the vahnatai get smart and instead of slimes and cockroaches,

> golems and alien beasts everywhere?

Ah ... I alreayd thought this one over. It's simply an issue of resources.
Not even the Vahnatai have limitless magical powers, and it's much more
difficult to build beasts than slimes.

Just you wait until I find a way to get them into the next game universe I
design.

Hmm? Please explain.

> How come Rentar-Ihrno shows me the head of Bon-Ihrno, but if I go to house

Uhhh ... uhhh ... uhhhhhh ... a really good healing spell!

> If Anthron doesn't want us hurting his(her?) precious babies, why does
he(she?)
> put them in our way and have them attack us!

Pure sadism on my part. Sometimes creating a mildly illogical situation to
make an interesting game situation is an acceptable trade off.

> How come in Exile II Sulfras was very annoyed at the Khoth, but now
everythings

Sulfras didn't realize that Khoth was kidnapped ... Sulfras thought Khoth
was a willing collaborator.

> And one real quick Exile II question: Why in Exile I is the Exit

???? - the location of the exit never changed. There was no passage to the
surface in the nw corner of Exile II. Garzahd's tower didn't have one.

> There are probably more I can't think of.....

Here's some my friends nag me with -

Why are there so many PANTS?

Why do horses NEVER move? Why can't you walk around them?

Why do guards always just say something like "I'm a guard?" (E I and II only)

Alright, I confess, I modified Exile so I could walk thru walls. In Exile
II I randomly walk about on the surface when I noticed a big happy face on
my map where no one should have gotten, so I found the peticular cave
(Where you get to fight the creators of the game) I wrote that msg before
I found the generic cave, and although the Outside world map is completely
filled (ie no map squares you can't get to or see), Exile map has Upper
Exile at the bottom, Somewhere in Exile above that, a bunch of unfilled
map squares, and then the Vahnatai's land. I figured you could have
fitted another peticular cave in the unfilled area.

In Exile I if you were to walk north of the Exit (thru the walls that is),
you fly right off the map (ie it's the most northern piece of the map).
In Exile II you find the Exit ( filled in with rocks ) past Sulfras lair,
but you're not in the northern most part of the Map. What I'm really
saying is why is the scaling changed...

Well duh, the Generic Cave (which was so cool...)
