LOL2 walkthrough says that in the Savage Jungle you should just
keep going north, and you should see a guard to the village where
Daniel and others are.

What if I can't find that guard or village? I found Daniel and two other
cats when I entered the village, gave Daniel the knife from his grand-
mother, took it back when he left it on the ground, but now I can't find
the village!

Where is that guard or village anyway? Is it the place where there is
this gigantic tree with two poles with some feathers on each side,
and a shut door to that tree, the door looks like a face of a cat.
Is the guard supposed to be somewhere around here? Can't find him.

Please help!

He's supposed to be next to it, yes.

The first time that you go into the area he throws something at you and
comments that he missed on purpose. You can somehow force the door open
IIRC, but you won't get the 'good' ending.

Phew, I got through the problem. For some reason, when I replayed
from an earlier savegame when I meet the four handed guy, before
the spiders destroy the bridge, with 3D acceleration DISABLED,
the guard was there and I could proceed. I enabled 3D acceleration
after that spot.

Highly peculiar. I replayed many times from that same spot with
3D acceleration, and this "no Savage Village guard anywhere"
bug always occurred. Funny that 3D acceleration can cause some
crucial character not to appear in the game at all!

LoL2 is _highly_ unstable. I recommend letting it rebuild the cache
every time it asks or else you'll run into similiar problems a lot (I
sure did.)
