Anyone know the official SimCopter release date?
I heard it's sometime this month (November).

SimCopter has been released to manufacturing. Expect to see it in the
stores by the week of Nov 17.

At the last minute, we put in some cool new features, such as VR
helmet support and advanced point of view control. We already support
rudders and similar equipment. Copter is one of the most unique flight
games I've ever seen. The 3D world simulation is a whole order of
magnitude greater than any other flight simulator. You can (and often
must) get out of the heli and complete missions on foot with your
avatar!

It's more of a game than a flight simulator, so some aspects of a
realistic flight model (particularly, the cockpit controls) have been
tossed in favor of a simpler control mechanism. However, rudder,
slide, pitch, and many flight aspects are there with the rich joystick
controls. However, for those who are hard-core realistic
flight-sim'ers, Copter is a perfect way to get a friend, child, or
husband/wife interested in flight simulation.
