Yesterday I called up just about every store that I know of that carries
computer games. (Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Babbage's, and Software Etc.)

Best Buy said they don't have it.
Wal-Mart said they don't have it.
Babbage's said they should have it today. (I called today, and they said
they should have it Friday.)
Software Etc. said that Grand Theft Auto will be coming out in April!

What the hell is going on here!!?

I also have a question to anyone out there that DOES have GTA: What
different modes of multiplayer are there??? (My friend and I are hoping
that there is some sort of "co-op" mode.)

Take 2 bought BMG Interactive. Grand Theft Auto is, therefore, delayed.

This has nothing to do with the US release date as BMG had only the UK rights.
ASC Games has the US rights and it is scheduled for release next week. We
finally got a boxed version today so it is coming out. Remember 10 copies up
for grabs.

It's Friday, and alot of stores around here (Twin Cities, MN) have it in
stock, average price 44.95. I love it! Not since Carmageddon I've had
so many chuckles....

So tell us about it, already! I'm dying to get this game - it still hasn't
shown up in my area. Any thoughts, opinions, etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bastard. Sorry, I'm jealous, OK? ;(
I called Best Buy today, and they STILL don't have it! I'm greatly
considering buying it online. Perhaps from EB...

Well, let me see. If you've seen the demo, you've pretty much seen
whats to the
game. But the full version has 2 other cities (San Andreas [aka LA],
and Vice
City [aka Miami] to drive around in. There are more cars, and the car
colors
change from city to city. The game has real good sfx, stuff like "watch
out
asshole" or "oh my god! run for your life" and such. The music is
pretty good,
but to play the radio mode (where the music changes to the car your in)
doesn't
work very well without a 8X CDROM drive. Alot more missions to do, you
can
literally drive around and get paged with something to do. Very well
done game
in this gamers opinion..

Also, Star Wars: Rebellion just came out also, and it looks real good
too....

Greetings,

I having played this game for a total of 5/6 hours, its great. I like
the variety of cars you get to drive and the non-linearity of the
game. Some may get turned off by the overhead view but I don't really
mind as long as the gameplay is decent. Graphically its not really
impressive as some of the other 3dfx games but it plays well :). Only
gripes I might have is that there are only three cities to drive in
and there is no in-game save so its kind of a console-type game. I
HOPE they release an add-on, or some sort of level editor....

Well, every store near my house wont even carry it!
The only suggestion I have, is download it at a warez site (and send them
money of course :p)

You sure about that? I only have a 4X CD-ROM, and the radio feature
works fantastically!

I got it from EB online - www.ebworld.com. Released to there stores
on 3/27, shipped out that same day, I received it yesterday (3/30).
Also got a $10.00 rebate for a cost of $38.00 or so including
shipping.
