"In Pursuit of GREED"
Demo Released

SHREVEPORT, LA, Sept. 22, 1995--Softdisk Publishing is pleased to announce
the demo release of In Pursuit of GREED, a new multi-player 3-D game that
features a futuristic storyline, "in your face" first-person game action,
and a CD-quality soundtrack by an award-winning composer.

Developed for Softdisk by Channel VII (the team that created Ironseed last
year), In Pursuit of GREED is set in the year 15432 during the third age
of man. Scavenger Hunts mean big money for the criminal elite and you have
just been recruited as an elite scavenger. Your job: to acquire primary
target items, suppressing noncooperatives (or Nops) as necessesary. In
short, it it's not nailed down, steal it; if it's moving around, shoot it.

The three-level demo version of In Pursuit of GREED includes these
features:

Five Characters - Choose to be the Cyborg, Mooman, Lizard Man, Specimen 7,
or the Dominatrix!

Monster Aggressiveness - Select one of 6 settings, ranging from
"Brainless" to "Demon Spawn"!

The Aft Sensory System Cam - Protect against rear attacks with the A.S.S.
Cam!

The Heads Up Display (HUD) Map - Stay on track with a static or rotating
overlay map!

Proximity Mines, Decoys, & Clones - Drop these only at strategic moments.

Network/Modem Play - Enjoy 8-player network play, and head-to-head modem
or serial cable play.

CD-Quality Soundtrack - Listen to mood-setting, techno-industrial music by
award-winning composer Andrew Sega (of Necros fame).

"I'm very exciting about In Pursuit of GREED," said Softdisk President Al
Vekovius. "The sound and graphics are first-rate. And it's got the kind of
ultra-carnage game play that many adult 3-D game fans have come to expect.
After I tried out all five characters and the variable violence settings,
I was hooked and ready for more!"

And gamers will get a whole lot more. The full version of In Pursuit of
GREED will include these exciting features:

The Holo-Suit - Put on the Holo-Suit to look like any other character or
object in the game! Sure to add a new twist to head-to-head play!

Portable Holes - Carry around these portable teleporters for quick escapes
from tight spots!

The Teleport Jammer - Prevent monsters from "spawning" and deactivate
teleporters with this device!

Soul Stealer - Hit enemies with this item and "steal" the health right out
of him!

The recommended minimum system for running In Pursuit of GREED is a
486DX-33MHz with 8MB of RAM. Supports the Sound Blaster, Gravis Ultrasound
and Pro Audio Spectrum family of sound cards.

The In Pursuit of GREED demo will be available for download in Softdisk
software stores on American Online (key word Softdisk), CompuServe (go
SPDL), Prodigy (jump Softdisk), and the Internet (http://www.softdisk.com)
starting today. The demo also is available on 3.5-inch disks for $5 S&H
directly from Softdisk at 1-800-831-2694 or 1-318-221-8718. The $5 S&H
charge will be substracted from the price of the full game upon purchase.

The full version of In Pursuit of GREED is expected to ship by the first
of November. It is available from Shreveport, La.-based Softdisk on CD-ROM
for $39.95 plus $5 shipping and handling. Order hotline: 1-800-831-2694
or 1-318-221-8718.
Fax hotline: 1-318-221-8870.

: NO, absolutely not. It sucks! Witchaven is much better than this crap!
: What a waste.

Usually I stay out of these things, but I just downloaded it...and I
agree...it does suck. I don't think it's worse than Witchaven, but I
think both of them suck. At least the soundtracks are kinda cool.
