Workaround for axis properties no longer available in R2014b

I have some code that has worked beautifully for years. In basically
maps vertices in 3D space to 2D coordinates, so I can do interactive
selection from a 3d plot. It uses some axis properties that no longer
seem to be available in R2014b. Can anyone point me to a workaround?

The properties I use are:

x_RenderTransform
x_RenderOffset
x_RenderScale
