The State Board of Parole holds hearings and considers applications for parole, and conducts all proceedings involving revocation of parole.

 

Effective September 1, 2016 for a term expiring July 1, 2017:

 

·        Brandon W. Mathews of Colorado Springs, and occasioned by the resignation of Barbara Jean Kelley of Denver, appointed.

Dr. Brandon Mathews

 

State Director, Colorado

 

Dr. Mathews has a decade of experience in the public and private sectors in both secure and community-based correctional facilities, as well as in criminal and administrative investigations. He has spent the last two and a half years in the Colorado community corrections system implementing innovative evidence-based practices and leading organizational change. Educationally, he holds a Doctor of Management degree with a concentration in Organizational Development and Change, as well as a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University. He is also an active researcher in the criminal justice discipline regularly presenting at regional and national conferences with recent scholarly and practitioner publications in the Organizational Development Journal, Criminal Justice Studies, Journal of Criminal Justice Education, Journal of Community Corrections and Corrections Today.
