While I patiently wait for news on the development side, Colibri has
become the interface through I run more or less 90% of my programs, so
is now an essential tool for the way I use my computers - keyboard
interaction is so much faster!

As a long time Colibri user, I've developed a few tricks that I use
all the time, and make up for some of the (yet) missing features, so
why not collect them here?

-- SqlLiteBrowser - http://sqlitebrowser.sourceforge.net/
Essential tool to modify some Colibri settings, including adding
search engines and directories to the index

-- A directory for shortcuts
I have a %appdata%\Colibri\Shortcuts folder where I keep all the
shortcuts I want in Colibri, and only there. I used the program above
to add the path to filesystem.sqlite (in the Colibri profile folder).

In the folder I keep links to alle the important locations of my
computer (Documents, My Music, My Pictures, all drives, etc.) but also
to the folder itself! this way I can easily open it, add a shortcut
and have it ready in Colibri in no time.

I also keep links for a few websites in there, but a bug in IE7 messes
up with URL icons, so they only have the standard html file icon (fact
that, for me, is really annoying)

-- Multiple shortcuts - command line parameters
Quite often I have multiple shortcut to the same program, using
different command line parameters. This gives me some sort of "action
set" to choose from.

A good example is Skype: I have a Skype shortcut in my folder (see
above), but also a "Skype - Close" shortcut, that links to "skype /
shutdown". No more right clicking on the taskbar!

Other good ones are "putty -l <session>" to start a specific ssh
session, or "irfanview --clippaste" to open Irfanview and load the
content of the clipboard (super fast for screenshots)

-- Additional keyboard shortcut
I run Colibri at startup, but not using the configuration setting. I
prefer to have a shortcut in my start menu, in the "Start Up" folder.
This menu entry also has an additional keyboard shortcut (AltGr-Shift-
C), therefore I can open or restart Colibri without messing with
(slooow) menues.

-- Links to network connections
Drag connections for the "Network connections" folder into your
Colibri shortcut folder, for keyboard access! "Wireless network" is
probably the most useful of them, since it gives you fast access to
the wireless network configuration!

now, let's hear your tips! (please, keep it clean from questions,
open new discussions if you need)

I like some of these tips myself. I also use Colibri to launch every
program and do lots on my computer at work. However I had never
thought of this shortcuts idea.

Where does the SQLLite database file exist?
