Is innodb_locks_unsafe_for_binlog=1 still a requirement?

I noticed when testing out the latest version of 25.3.2 that I no longer see innodb_locks_unsafe_for_binlog=1 on the wiki or in the readme file. Is this still a requirement or a recommended setting?
