To keep D15 discussion separate, I have just created this to break out of the other thread where D15 was mentioned...
https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/coderdojo-dublin/T-3BoZmcOCM

FYI, I have registered @CoderDojoD15 on twitter... https://twitter.com/#!/CoderDojoD15

May need a bit more direction, but I can get the ball rolling on sorting out the venue.  If I have skipped in front of anyone here who was intent on setting it up, I apologise - please let me know if I have, and I will assist in any way I can.

Mentors, if you can make yourselves known here that would be cool.  BTW I can take html/javascript.  Can do Python if necessary but just started coding in it yesterday... As they say on the coderdojo site, minimum 3, but 8 is ideal... so the more the better.  Two of us so far (Darragh Buffini and me).

Thanks a lot.  Really looking forward to this.

Colm

Update: I just called Blanchardstown Library.  Very helpful, but I will need to see how suitable their lecture room is.  It sounds like they may not have enough tables and also, they have a fairly strict policy regarding use of wi-fi for U15s.  I also know the lecture room the person proposed.  It would probably handle around 30 kids max.  I will be going up there on Saturday to meet head librarian to see how suitable it would be.

Will make a few more calls.

Hey,

We've worked directly with Dublin City Council Library Service on this... there are bigger issues than this and they come from outside the library. Please wait for me to check up on this and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Ben.

Hi Ben, thanks a lot. Apologies for skipping ahead of you on this.  I will wait so before doing anything else.

FYI

Blanchardstown library is Fingal Library Service and not Dublin City
Council.

Great to seem someone get this moving, have followed the account on twitter.
I wouldn't be able to mentor but I am happy to give a hand with the
logistics.

Folks, some positive leads today after making several phone calls.
Will hopefully be in a position to announce the location next
Wednesday.
