Surf scoter still at Wash Park, Denver County

Hi all,
A small group of birders was treated to some close looks of the surf scoter in the south area of Grasmere Lake around 3:30 today, October 30. The scoter was near the south shore by the tennis courts. After about ten minutes, the bird swam away toward the east shore of the lake.

As part of the "small group," I was thrilled to get so close. I came home with one pretty good picture.
