BCLP - Owls and Western Bluebirds

This evening 7:24 PM  stopped by Bear Creek Lake Park, Jefferson Co (my home water to borrow a flyfishing term).  All was lovely and quiet (well except for C 470 nearby).  The western-most Great Horned Owl was hunkered down in her nest - about 3" of snow on the rim. The only indication of occupation being one ear a-tilt and large sliver of tail out at a 45 degree angle.  The male, in a tree nearby, gave a perfunctory (alert?) hoot.  Walking back to Skunk Hollow parking lot I was surprised by a flock of 14-15 very active  Western Bluebirds flitting and twittering around.   Their colors were stunning against the snowy branches.   Then the owls in the grove east of Skunk Hollow started hooting.  The light was going fast so didn't check on the lake or the hill owls but saw those on Sunday.  Seems like that park has sustained a healthy population of Great Horneds for many years.
