My folks have an old orchard (though it is rented to a farmer along with fields around - he has no interest in the apples/orchard) - Bulmers planting from the 70s - many Dabinetts and Norman + quite a lot of Yarlington & Michelin. Low nitrogen inputs & no pesticides - light grazing at some points through the year.

I am only just beginning my cider making journey (3rd season) and will only be scratching the surface of the harvest this year - I would be very happy to share with someone local, mainly as a way to make local connections and potentially share some of the task of beginning to tidy it up somewhat (unloved for 10+ years). Some people have collected from here over the last 10 years (Gethin's Cyder for example) but I haven't heard of anyone the last couple of years.

The normans & michelins are very much ready - some yarlingtons too (did iodene test today) - some dabinetts are falling, but not ripe yet.
John Worle came by today to discuss filling in gaps and was very positive about the fruit and not totally down on the current state.

Near Raglan - access isn't perfect (over a couple of fields), but still do-able. A lovely spot, for sure. This is absolutely a come & share pick offer, not offering to pick apples for people!
Shout if interested!
