Hi all,

I work in a small primary school. We are looking to source a portable projector that we could set up and use in our PE hall to deliver programmes with classes - showing videos, etc.

If you have any suggestions of where would be best to source a reliable projector, which would have a decent picture quality, be user friendly and not too expensive, I'd appreciate any advice.

Thank you.

Hi Laura,

Maybe consider buying a large TV on a trolley with wheels. Any ‘projectors’ we replaced this year we replaced with large screen TVs. Easy connectivity to wireless laptops, perfect picture, great sound- no speakers needed and easy to move around to where they are needed.

Kind regards
Natalie

If you want to set it up in a school hall, the critical parameters are going to be how large the screen image should be, and how dark you can make the hall. If its a typical hall, you may have high windows which are difficult to curtain, and if the Sun can shine in for part of the day when you’d like to use the projector, that is certainly worth mentioning to whoever you end up purchasing one from.

Laura

I have an ex. demo Epson Projector but I definitely would need to talk to you re. room to see if it is the correct solution for you.

It is 3100 lumens, Full HD, Built in WiFi, etc. and still has 3 years warranty.

I am in Navan.

Kindest regards

Thanks for all your advice and suggestions.

I think a projector would work best for us, as I don't believe it will be used often and it would be easily stored.

We are lucky in that we can darken the hall substantially and sunlight won't be an issue, so I think a projector would be suitable.

A basic model would be fine for us, and we have a set of speakers to use with it.

Thanks again all.
