Teaching Develop in Swift (Online)

Hey again,

I’m just dropping another note to let you folks know about another (free) week long course I’m running for Apple the week of 21 June. It’s an in-depth look at teaching the Develop in Swift curriculum, which includes Develop in Swift Explorations (https://apple.co/developinswiftexplorations), Fundamentals (https://apple.co/developinswiftfundamentals), and Data Collections (https://apple.co/developinswiftdatacollections).

The course is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 to 16:30. We have a few core projects we work on to learn about the Swift programming language and app development and we’ll have lectures from the Develop in Swift series each day from some great trainers. In the afternoon we have guest speakers from Apple talking about machine learning, app design, augmented reality, and SwiftUI.

The projects are designed to be taken away and run with your own classes.

We ran this in March with some tweaks from our December run and it was an absolute blast.

We had a couple folks from Ireland on the session last time and I'd love to have even more with us the next time. It’s a great chance to meet educators from around the world, share a bit about your own school, and learn a lot about Swift and teaching programming concepts.
