Hi, does anyone here have recommendations for voice to text software, as in sound or video file with voices to word doc type of thing?

Thanks!

Have you tried the dictate option in Word?

I have also used Dragon dictate in the past, I don’t know what the current position is, but it used to be very good, and the pricing went from tolerable to way too much.
Dragon dictate on an Ipad, was un-usable.

For any of these products, its helps to have a good microphone, in a quiet place.

Just as an exercise, I opened up word, and dictated the above using the built in microphone on my MacBook pro. The following is the result.

Have you tried using the dictation option in Word this can give quite good results in fact I'm dictating this answer to you right now other options I've tried have been dragon dictation And the built-in dictation 2 on a Mac the key to all of these tends to be a good microphone and a quiet place that's it

Your mileage may vary.

Best
Laurence Cuffe.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

We used one called Happyscribe in the end - pay by the hour option which is handy if you're just doing a once off type job, very accurate.
