We are pleased to announce initial availability of our HL7 FHIR R4 Cerner Millennium implementation! The documentation is available on our fhir.cerner.com documentation page [1]. While our initial release only includes CapabilityStatement, Patient, and Encounter, we expect to release more resources as time goes on. Within the next several months, some of the resources we expect to release are:

* AllergyIntolerance
* Binary
* DocumentReference
* Immunization
* Organization
* Practitioner
* RelatedPerson

Note that this scope could change due regulatory requirements or a shift in priorities.

The initial release also only supports Practitioner and System access to resources. We expect to release Patient access as well in the future. In addition, our current Code portal does not allow launch against R4 yet. This functionality will be added to the portal in the coming months.

Due to changes in the specification between DSTU 2 and R4, as well as changes to recommended practices and workflow, we also plan to release a guide to upgrading per resource. Some initial differences will be found on our release notes once the new updates are published [2].

In the meantime, if you notice any issues with our new server, please let us know! We will continue to support DSTU 2 until a full like-for-like set of functionality is available on R4 (and then there will be time for applications to migrate).

Keep an eye on this group for future announcements and updates!

You can now register apps and launch against our R4 server in the Code Portal. Please post questions on this group if you run into issues!
