Lead Design Instructor, Startup Institute

We are looking for a lead design instructor to teach the majority of our design track classes for our pilot Part Time Program. Topics include, but not limited to:  CSS3, Design Tools, Information Architecture, UI/UX, User-centered design, Wireframing, Rapid Prototyping, Responsive Design and CSS Frameworks, Portfolio creation and guidance, Navigation + Flow, User Research Methods, Usability Testing, Advance JS, Data Visualization, Intro to Product Management

The time commitment would be approximately 10-11 hours week, including prep time. Your commitment would run from May 20 - July 29, with scheduling flexibility around July 5th holiday.

Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the final Thursday class on 7/27, from 7:00pm - 9:30pm

and Saturdays (May 20, June 3, June 17, June 24, July 15, July 29), typically from 10:00am - 12:30pm.

We already have the curriculum and decks, so that lift is fairly easy. You will be able to bring in guest instructors to cover topics that are not in your area of expertise.

We are looking for someone who enjoys teaching to students from a diverse background, who will collaborate closely and provide timely feedback with our program team, including the Managing Director, Program Manager, and VP of Curriculum.

We can pay per class or we can offer a monthly stipend, depending on the number of classes you're able to teach.
