Job description

We are looking to add an experienced UI/UX Designer to our growing team! The UI/UX designer will work with our product development teams to create an online platform to host our learning programs and be responsible for coordinating with customers, product developers, and internal stakeholders to create a compelling and accessible user interface and experience for our programs. This is a great opportunity for a driven designer to create an amazing user experience from concept through to design completion. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY. NO REMOTE WORK AVAILABLE.

Main Responsibilities
  • Spend time with Knovva customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders to understand user needs and evaluate designs
  • Deliver best-in-class user experiences (user interface designs, interaction models, prototypes, etc.), in a fast-paced, agile, startup-like environment
  • Lead rapid iterative prototyping efforts with varying fidelity/presentation tools (e.g., sketches, storyboards, wireframes, clickable prototypes, compositions, and assets)
  • Translate business and product requirements into visually beautiful concepts and highly-usable responsive experiences. Be flexible and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment.
  • Produce exceptional, high quality graphic designs and copy layouts for websites, web applications, and mobile apps.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core and new functions and features.
  • Partner effectively with product management and engineering stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Design, User Centric Design, or a similar field.
  • 3+ years experience of web design in a software environment.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
  • Experience with wireframing/prototyping tools (Axure, UXPin, InVision).
  • Previous User Experience background required including experience designing and developing web applications in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.

The UI/UX Designer is a full-time position based in Knovva Academy’s office in the Seaport neighborhood of Boston. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. This is not a remote position; no travel is currently expected. Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not being offered at this time.
