The User Experience group at PrismHR is looking to add a User Experience Designer to our growing team!

You will help shape the future of PrismHR’s next generation of Human Capital Management products for both desktop and mobile environments, including employee and manager self-service, onboarding of new hires, payroll processing and reporting. You will join a growing UX team with opportunities to define process, drive design decisions and see the immediate impact of your work.

SPECIFIC DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering and other User Experience Designers in a fast-paced Agile development environment
  • Own and represent the voice of the user throughout the design process
  • Work closely with Product Managers and stakeholders during discovery to identify, capture and refine user stories and workflows
  • Lead collaborative design sessions to generate solution ideas and build consensus
  • Use a variety of methods to communicate design decisions including: sketches, design personas, information architecture maps, process and interaction flows, user task analysis, wireframes, storyboards, visual design mockups, and low to high fidelity prototypes
  • Find creative solutions to design challenges while balancing technology constraints
  • Lead usability testing and user testing feedback process
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and communicating UI patterns and design standards

REQUIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Interaction Design, UX or other relevant discipline
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a User Experience Designer, Information Architect or Interaction Designer, designing for web, mobile, desktop or native applications
  • Well-versed in standard user experience techniques and methodologies
  • Skilled in both quantitative and qualitative user research methods
  • Ability to iterate quickly on designs as new data emerges or in response to feedback
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative discussions with multidisciplinary teams, including remote
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an Agile environment, familiar with Lean UX
  • A team player, able to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Fluency in Balsamiq, Sketch or Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop as well as an understanding of HTML/CSS
  • An online portfolio demonstrating advanced research, analysis and design skills

DESIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced degree or training in Human Factors or Human Computer Interaction
  • Experience working with HR systems, Benefits, Payroll, Finance or other Human Capital Management systems
  • Experience implementing accessibility and W3C standards
