Job description
You’re the ultimate utility player on the team so there’s a lot of diversity in your work - sometimes you’re leading projects on your own, sometimes you’re collaborating with an experienced lead to move larger programs forward. You’ve got some go-to approaches in your toolbox for how you solve design problems, and you’re willing to try out new ones and flex your approach depending on the project and the needs of the team you’re working with. You’re a quick study. You love opportunities to engage directly with the audience you’re designing for.

You run design workshops for cross-functional teams to help clarify goals and engage team members in contributing their expertise to projects you lead. You refine your thinking as you design, by sharing work early and often, and by collaborating closely with other designers, PMs, domain experts and engineers. You don’t just think about individual screens, you think about each step in your user's journey, and your designs and specs reflect that attention to detail.

You’re eager to learn and will tackle whatever project comes your way, especially those that give you a chance to stretch and improve your skills. Where you’ve got skills and expertise to share, you look for opportunities to teach others and help teammates level up.

One of these areas sounds like a great fit given your background, interests and experience:

• Developing a robust newsfeed experience that’s filled with helpful, supportive and engaging content, much of it generated by other members that has people coming back regularly to see what’s new.
  
• Building habits around data donation that focus on helping members understand how sharing data can help them gain insight into themselves, enable others to learn from their experiences, and feel like they’re making meaningful contributions to future research. As a results, ongoing data donation rates are on the rise.

You’ll be able to hit the ground running if you…

• Have 3+ years designing software for a consumer audience, bonus points if some or all of it has been in the healthcare space.
  
• Have experience designing responsive web apps and/or mobile apps.
  
• Can speak to the problems you’ve solved and how your design solutions lead to an impact on the business metrics or user behaviors you were trying to drive.
  
• Are able to show how you’ve evolved your solutions in response to qualitative end user feedback and/or quantitative metrics.
  
• Present your process and not just the end results.
