Position Overview

Boston Interactive is looking for a high-level thinker that can dive into complex business challenges and architect innovative, effective solutions. Qualified candidates will have great interpersonal skills, organization skills to manage strategic initiatives for complex client projects, and experience on a variety of verticals and projects types to align the right solution to the client’s needs. Qualified candidates will also understand and have experience working in all phases of user experience design and research, especially in the discovery phase driving competitive research, analytics, interviews, as well as user research, aligning the right methodology to the right objective.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with clients to understand their business problems, complex systems and processes
  • Run workshops and work directly with clients to identify overarching business and content goals
  • Independently create and deliver well designed documentation (user personas, experience maps, interactive and static wireframes, prototypes) to support the design and execution of a range of products and marketing campaigns
  • Create and present UX deliverables/strategy internally and externally using Keynote
  • Work collaboratively with practice leads and senior members of the design team to generate thoughtful, innovative, and relevant creative strategies across a broad range of media channels
  • Lead the testing and refinement of solutions prior to approval and launch
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to support various client projects
  • Develop user journeys and personas
  • Partner with client teams to build successful relationships and help to identify new opportunities for selling in content/strategic services within existing accounts

Qualifications and Skills

Required

  • Understanding of UX/UI skills (i.e. user stories, testing, user driven design, interviews, focus groups, heuristic evaluations, etc.)
  • Uncover user insights through various forms of research methodologies and an ability to translate insights into actionable input for the UX and design teams
  • Suggest research methods that align with the project goals and supports the design process
  • Facilitate research sessions and be familiar with various types of traditional user research, including cart sorts, remote and in-person usability testing, eye tracking, customer and stakeholder workshops, as well as co-creative activities
  • Passionate about UX, including technology, psychology, marketing and design; constantly striving to learn more and collaborate with teams
  • Curious about how content, design and user interface work together to create an optimal user experience
  • Ability to solicit business requirements from a diverse stakeholder group
  • Ability to communicate, listen, present, and sell through ideas internally and to clients
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Organized and attentive to detail
  • Able to work in fast-paced environments and strive to meet deadlines
  • Able to travel occasionally for presentations and research
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms such as GA, Hotjar, Crazy Egg, Mixpanel, and Tableau
  • Coursework in User Experience, Human Computer Interaction, Psychology or related fields
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with clients and presenting ideas to large project teams
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in UX or IA both leading projects and working within a team dynamic

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in UX, HCI, design, communication, CS or related field
