We are building a team of UX
Designers and we are looking for a dynamic person with vision to lead
and inspire the team! The UX Team Lead will be responsible for leading,
overseeing, and defining best practices for the navigation,
organization, interaction design, and business/user process engineering
for leading-edge Web solutions, software, and mobile
devices/applications.
You will play a key role in:
- Setting the vision and strategy for the UX design team.

Identifying opportunities that add business value, then leading them
through the full lifecycle of launching and scaling a new business or
initiative.
- Driving, overseeing, and providing thought
leadership in the assessment of existing sites/properties for
usefulness, usability, visual design, content, and branding

Lead participatory design/user testing activities, as well as behavioral
in-context and ethnographic research events across accounts
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal client stakeholders; manage client involvement in research

Pair up and collaborate with relevant creative leads to keep the
experience design vision intact and balanced with UX strategy and
creative innovation.
- Defining best practices and standards
related to persona development/behavioural segmentation; coach teams to
align personas/segmentation with client/project objectives

Developing a complete understanding of customer needs and wants,
identifying product and business model opportunities, and keeping
customers at the forefront of every decision
- Act as a UX ambassador and demonstrate the benefits of user focused design to internal business leaders.

Facilitate success of direct reports in meeting their (and their
team's) goals by supporting them in turning their strengths into higher
performance, and by helping them improve on their weaknesses.
Requirements for this position are as follows:
- BS/ MS in Human-computer interaction, Interaction Design or related.

Minimum 8-10 years of experience leading a team of UX Design personnel.
Financial services or insurance industry experience strongly preferred.
- Solid verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to all levels of clients and co-workers
- Candidates must be well-versed in user-centered design methods and techniques

Must possess a deep understanding in related creative tracks: design,
interactive development, copywriting and content strategy
- Must have been in a client-facing role and have project experience in working with teams on large scale, long-term projects
- Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a time sensitive environment.
This position is located in the Back Bay area of Boston.
