Join the Quick Base XD team as a Principal Visual Designer to set the course of visual language for Quick Base.  Quick Base is the innovative no-code platform that allows average business people to rapidly create powerful web and mobile business apps, automate processes, and improve communication and collaboration.  You’ll work with interaction and content designers to revolutionize Quick Base, creating the easiest, most powerful platform ever for business apps.

Quick Base was recognized as a LEADER by Forrester in a new report, “New Wave: Low-Code Platforms for Business Developers, Q4 2017!”  This space has huge growth potential.

We’re looking for just the right person to drive exceptional visual design, democratize that design through patterns, and document it in a visual design system.  You’ll work with other XD team members to create innovative product experiences based on deep insights into customer and market needs.

• Deliver delightful and compelling visual designs on multiple software platforms and devices
  
• Extend the visual language for Quick Base
  
• Create visual patterns and apply those to components; incorporate those components into our library
  
• Create animations and add to the icon library
  
• Accelerate game-changing design by incorporating insights from strategic research
  
• Mentor junior designers
  
• Align senior leadership and product teams around key design decisions
  
• Create shared vision and build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships / alignment with partners across the business
  
• Work self-directed on complex projects driving near- and long-term direction
  

Qualifications

You have a proven track record of crafting world-class visual design for complex, large-scale SaaS or PaaS products, with an emphasis on simplicity and clarity.  You’re a roll-up-your-sleeves problem solver who can oversee visual design for web and mobile systems, and are also a great team builder and mentor.

You have an in-depth, practical knowledge of visual design systems, trends, principles and best practices.

You have a portfolio that includes examples of leading design efforts that delivered significant business outcomes.

• A degree in graphic or interactions design, or a relevant field.
  
• At least 7 years’ experience delivering big, important product design experiences
  
• Experience mentoring designers
  
• Deep knowledge of visual design principles and methods, innovation, and ideation tools
  
• Experience with visual design and development across multiple device types
  
• A dazzling online portfolio
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  
• Superior creativity and passion for design, and the ability to inspire and influence others
  
• Experience with HTM5, CSS, and Sass
  
• Experience with animation­­­­­­­
  
• Interaction design experience is a big plus
  
• Coding experience is a big plus
