Jr UI Visual Designer (f/t, permanent) at SHYFT Analytics in Waltham, MA
This position calls for a UI Visual Designer who can define the look and feel for enterprise-grade desktop, tablet, and mobile applications for Life Science & Biotech industries. You will work with an interdisciplinary team of developers, product managers, product owners, and UXDs in a fast-paced, agile environment. 
 
Key Responsibilities

• Engage with cross-functional, agile teams throughout the project lifecycle to translate product concepts and wireframes into sophisticated, creative, and visually engaging designs  
  
• Collaborate closely with UX  on data viz solutions
  
• Establish, maintain and enforce a unified look and feel, including fonts, colors, iconography, and imagery
  
•  Collaborate with the development and QA teams to insure that designs are implemented correctly, and establish high design implementation standards across the entire platform 
  

Skills & Experience 

• 1-3  years experience designing visual applications in a high tech environment, as demonstrated by an online portfolio 
  
• Excellent visual design skills, including command of hierarchy, typography, aesthetics, composition, and construction of meaningful imagery 
  
• Fluency in design and prototyping  tools (Sketch, Invision, Adobe Suite, Insight, Axure, etc)
  
• Experience designing for mobile and tablet 
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  

 
(Desired) Familiarity with:

• Human Factors/UX principles 
  
• Agile development 
  

 
Education

• BA or equivalent degree in Graphic Design, Human Factors, or related field
