Hi,

can I have an apache2 server with only the playback?
I would like to move my recordings on another server.
Thanks.

Regards,

Yes, this should generally work.

You need to copy the files from the following directories, and set up
apache to serve them at the correct paths:

/var/bigbluebutton/playback/presentation
served at -> /playback/presentation

/var/bigbluebutton/published/presentation
served at -> /presentation

You can then take the links from the BigBlueButton API and change the
server name to get the new links.

Note that we don't currently support having the BigBlueButton API
return links to externally hosted recordings, so you'll probably have
to manually share links.

Hi,

Thanks Calvin, I solved my problem.
I copied the folder /var/bigbluebutton/playback and the folder under published on the apache server under /var/bigbluebutton, I modified the file under sites-available in virtaul host, just adding:
Redirect /presentation  /published/presentation

Ufuk Kaya

Hi Ufuk,

For common Unix questions you'll find a wealth of information on the internet.  You'll also find that information very quickly using Google (as opposed to waiting for someone in these forums to Google for you).

Google for the terms

  Install Apache2

and you'll get many good resources.

Regards,... Fred
