Indeed these folders are not there!

I thought that some packages were missing but a "dpkg -l | grep bbb" seems to send me a correct value (?)

Does anyone already encountered this error? Can I recover the missing files somewhere?

Then I tried "bbb-conf --setip myserver" which returns two errors:

Hi Djosh,

Did you get any errors when installing the packages?

> I just installed BBB on my server. Nothing special during installation

Was this an upgrade from a previous version or a new install?

Regards,... Fred

I wasn't at the office last week, I answer late ...
No, I didn't get any errors. But I asked for my colleague who was in charge of this server before me and it appears that a BBB 0.9 was installed 2 years ago and then completely uninstalled.

I thought I started with a blank installation but maybe not. What is the procedure to completely uninstall all versions or references of BBB before new installation ?

Thank you Fred

Hi Djosh,

You don't need to uninstall 0.9 to upgrade to 1.0.  For the steps to upgrade, see

Thank you Fred & Chad.

Finally I found a solution, I did :

> apt-get purge --auto-remove bigbluebutton bbb-* tomcat7* nginx*

I restart my server, then :

> apt-get install bigbluebutton

And I have all packages and files installed

Hi Djosh,

Thanks for sharing this.

I didn't think you could do wildcards with apt-get as I had assumed that bash would try to auto expand them first as files, but it looks like it passes the wildcards to apt-get and it then selects all the BigBlueButton packages.
