Problems with recording

Hello,
got some problems with recording.


When i try to get it got some errors.


sudo bbb-record --list

..so record exists...


API Mate returns:
<response><returncode>SUCCESS</returncode><recordings/><messageKey>noRecordings</messageKey><message>There are not recordings for the meetings</message></response>


debug return:
sudo bbb-record --debug
E, [2014-12-15T15:04:49.512313 #18580] ERROR -- : Error: stderr: /usr/lib/ruby/1.9.2/fileutils.rb:243:in `mkdir': Permission denied - /var/bigbluebutton/recording/process/presentation/3095592fca438c77b3d59cd63a88af20f1e9d0e8-1418654183086 (Errno::EACCES)


...and number of that error is increasing while record exist (trying to make dir every 'n' seconds?).

Please help if You can,

Hi Jakov,

It looks like a permissions problem.  Can you post the output of the command

   ls -al /var/bigbluebutton/recording/process/presentation

Here's the output on 

$ ls -al /var/bigbluebutton/recording/process/presentation

drwxr-xr-x 2 tomcat7 tomcat7 4096 Dec 10 16:50 .

drwxr-xr-x 3 tomcat7 tomcat7 4096 Dec 10 16:50 ..

With sudo chmod 777 /var/bigbluebutton/recording/process/presentation/  command problem is gone, now i can get recordings via API request.
Is this safe?

It was definitely a directory permission that was preventing the record and playback worker from finishing.

It would be better to have the parent directory have tomcat7:tomcat7 with permissions 755.
