Easier branding in BigBlueButton 2.0-beta

Hi Everyone,

We've made it easier for others to brand their own BigBlueButton server.  The logo (visible in the upper left-hand corner) and copyright message are now configurable in config.xml

No need to recompile the client.

Hello,

Great job as always on the easy rebrading which save us a lot of time on deployment without recompile. Just to add that you will have to modify bbb_blinker.js in bigbluebutton/client/lib to change the tab heading from BigBlueButton to something else in your browser.

Nice update from Summit XI.

Are there recommended / max dimensions for the logo to be displayed in the conference?

Passing XML/ logo.png is not rendering in 2.0 beta tool bar.

Any examples of color settings for :

• background Background color for the toolbar
• toolbarColor Toobar color

We have tried several color options #XXXXXX for toolbar, but no change to conference room toolbar color.

Used several colors listed here : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_colors .

Example set options : background="" toolbarColor="#00FF00"

After restarting BBB 2.0, no change to toolbar color. 

Any suggestions?

Additional background on Branding : logo / Copyright conference loading with 2.0.

With .9 CSS  ver 21 we have been successfully loading logos & copyright much larger than 35 pixels , example:

With 2.0 Beta .9 CSS ver 745, resizing logo to 35 pixels, have not been able to load either logo or copyright, while conference name does load properly, example:
