Hi there,

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into effect on May 25th, 2018.  See

We are aware of the coming regulations in GDPR regarding the Right to receive personal data and the Right to be forgotten (see above link for details).

We are working on two tools to enable you to respond to the above two requests.  See

These tools will run on a BigBlueButton 1.1/2.0-beta server.

The regulation also specifies Right to data portability (where feasible) (see https://gdpr-info.eu/art-20-gdpr/).  It is possible to move a recording from one BigBlueButton server to another.  See

The regulation also specifies Right to rectification (https://gdpr-info.eu/art-16-gdpr/).  This is possible for many user events in a recording.  For example, it would be possible for a BigBlueButton administrator to edit the events.xml, for example, change (or remove) a specific chat message for the user, and regenerate the recording.

If you have any questions about the upcoming support for GDPR for your BigBlueButton server, don't hesitate to post a follow-up message to this thread.

Regards,... Fred
