Hi,

We have 2 virtual machines with bigbluebutton, one this stop working correctly without any apparently reason. We noticed from the log (tail -f /var/log/bigbluebutton/bbb-web.log) that the org.bigbluebutton.api.RecordingServiceHelperImp is not working and in particular this message:

2014-10-23 17:36:29,651 WARN [org.bigbluebutton.api.MeetingService] - The meeting b7c1ecde6f248b8cbfa8e83498dbbb993c1e01b7-1414078541912 doesn't exist

In bbb-record --watch we noticed just the first two X and then stop working.

I would really appreciated any help to understand this behaivour.

regards,
carce

Hi Carce,

> I would really appreciated any help to understand this behaivour.

A few questions:

  - What version of BigBlueButton are you running?
  - Did you get any errors from the install?
  - Does the partition on which you installed BigBlueButton have free disk space?
  - Can you post the output of

  sudo bbb-conf --check

Regards,... Fred

Hi,

We have installed version 0.81, and we didn't have any error on install, we have been using these VM during the last 3 months without problems,  we have 80 GB free from 100GB.

The problem apparently happened after a failed upload of a word file, and we followed the instructions to restart OpenOffice server https://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/issues/detail?id=1738, as we did in other occasions without any problem.

The output of   sudo bbb-conf --check is:

Hi Grui,

A few things stand out

                            Memory: 2476 MB

We recommend running BigBlueButton in 4 G (or more).  Also, you've modified the client and server.

As you've been running it for a few months, I would focus on the record and playback.  Could you post the output of

  sudo bbb-record --debug

Regards,... Fred

This sounds like the recording processing worker has crashed, or
otherwise isn't running.

Can you try running
sudo /etc/init.d/bbb-record-core restart

to restart it? This should trigger the recording archiving and
processing.

Hi Fred,

After we found "Ingest and Processing: found recorded meeting but no archive files" in the bbb-record --debug we followed the suggestions in an old post https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/bigbluebutton-setup/LtCScrU2ntE/LZF-rwQ5_QgJ.

Apparently ruby were not running or stopped for any reason, because after the execution of "sudo /etc/init.d/bbb-record-core start", the processing and all the files are being generated.

Even so we still have differences between the bbb-web.log in both servers, we are not able to see any line of org.bigbluebutton.api.RecordingServiceHelperImp:

Hi,

Currently the bbb server is working, processing and publishing the meetings, but we still have differences in the bbb-web.log between our servers.
We noticed yesterday some log entries from RecordingServiceHelperImp in the log, but today they are missing again and we have the message meeting doesn't exist..
So I would like to know if its possible to start it manually? and what it is meaning of the message "meeting doesn't exist".

Regards.
