Hi there

I was wondering whether there is any way to have multiple default presentations. In the sense that instead of the users having to upload their presentation every time, it is preloaded/pre uploaded to this view (accessible from plus icon, then upload a presentation). Then the user can just choose the one they want from this menu as opposed to having to repeat the process every time they start a new meeting.

BigBlueButton has an API for pre-uploading presentations. What front-end system are you using to create BBB meetings?

Greenlight hasn't had presentation management added to it. That functionality might be added in a future update, but I don't think there's any immediate plans to add it. Managing presentations adds another layer of complexity because you then have to manage file management and storage.

Oh, that makes more sense. Are there any platforms which do implement this? Preferably open source and docker support. (I can't wait for BBB to move to docker)!

I think the BBB Moodle integration has pre-uploaded presentations. I'm not sure about other LMSs.

Last I checked Docker hasn't figured out how to handle large ranges of UDP ports so BBB in a container is still a ways off.

Hi Dhaval,

Added as an enhancement request to provide a pre-uploaded slide to Greenlight

Thank you, this feature would be very useful, as well as in line with your plans for greenlight to act as a reference of the bbb api.

I believe you can expose ports to the host in docker using a dash like below:

16384-32768:16384-32768

I haven't tried this myself but it should work. Unfortunately it would expose ports for TCP as well as UDP, but I don't think that's too bad of an issue.

These are the port ranges for a BigBlueButton server.  There isn't any reason to expose these ranges on the Greenlight docker container.
