In Memory of
Clyde William GinnettJuly 1, 1946 - July 29, 2012
Clyde William Ginnett, of Bishop, Texas, passed away on Sunday,
July 29, 2012, at the age of 66. He was born on July 1, 1946, in
Anacortes, Washington, to Frank Ginnett and Faye Taylor. Clyde was a
Physician’s Assistant with the United States Army for twenty-three years
until his retirement. He served in the Gulf War as a Division Surgeon
in the 7th Corps. Clyde earned a Master’s Degree in Community Health
and was a PhD candidate. He worked in Family Practice, Orthopedics,
Urgent Care and Cardiovascular Surgery. Clyde was a devoted member of
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for many years. He
served in numerous leadership positions in the Church, including Bishop
and Branch President.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank W. Ginnett. Clyde leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of thirty-eight years, Kathleen Ginnett, of Bishop; six children: Anne (David) Perucca of Houston, Texas, Tristan Ginnett of Farmington, Arkansas, Rachel (Robert) Hess of Bishop, Jeremiah Ginnett of Tacoma, Washington, Daniel (Amy) Ginnett of Tacoma and Thomas (Erica) Ginnett of Bishop; nineteen grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Ginnett of Alta Vista, Kansas, and Nephi (Angel) Ginnett of Canyon, Texas; two sisters, Quita (Gean) Stone of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and Wendy Ginnett of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and his mother, Faye (Robert) Osburn of Fayetteville. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop Hoskisson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Restland Cemetery, Bishop.
