Looks like a few new people are discovering my site while BGG is down today... Thanks!

Any thoughts / suggestions?

Thanks!

Hopefully this is not too spammy...

While BGG is down, you can still find limited board game info at https://www.gamersrollcall.com -- It's meant to compliment BGG, not replace it -- by adding scheduling, "what should i play" type searching, expanding "want-to-play" via beacons, and "find other gamer" or "FLGS" type functionality. Although meant as a complimenting site, there is some overlap of cached data (base stats, etc), so might be useful at times like these.

I've added a bunch of new features this month, and would love feedback about it-- what you like, what you don't, (especially if anything's broken!). My hope is that this becomes a useful resource for your gaming... Either way, thanks for your time.

Game on!

Just one, allow repeating days so I don't have to keep on adding days after the event. Would be nice

I poked around last week, and it seemed like a cool site with some nice features.

What turned me off the most was that I couldn't create an event without entering an address for it. I just wanted to refer to it as "Robert's house", which is all I need to get myself there. Even if I mark it "private", it's still a possible privacy leak. Plus in this case, I have no idea what the address actually is...I just know how to get there by car.

There were a couple other thing like that, I think, where it either wanted more information than I had or was willing to give, or was otherwise too strict for my tastes. Oh, maybe it didn't allow me to say "Robert and Alex will be there" without actually inviting them to the site. I forget.
