Seriously, you guys haven't found it yet? The "site down" screen is
bogus... hint: try mousing over the game icons in the circles around
the yoga geek (BTW I could only get this to work in Internet Explorer,
not Firefox, for some reason.)

Great April Fool's spoof guys - now on to find the April 1 Easter Eggs!

That's clever!  Had me fooled for a bit, coz it looked the same as the earlier "site down" screen!

Hmmm, only works with Lazarus and Safari for me. Weird.

Oh what - that is so nasty. Going to be lots of complaints about this
one.

PS: yup the general forum is full of complaints.

Huh? I've tried it in Explorer, Chrome and Firefox - no dice.

I tried it, but all I could get too was Poisson d'avril.

Well that's just annoying. Never tease an addict.

I don't see anything in the page code that suggests this thread is
anything but a prank.

Perhaps the grand BGG prank is an epic study in the psychological
repsonse to the apparent "downess" of that-which-should-never-be-down.

Tread carefully, Geeks.

Well, I have tried Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox and nothing!

Found it, cool! So far I've only been able to find it on the Opera
browser. I wonder if they have some kind of randomizer that
determines which browser works on each user's computer, guess you have
to try them all until you find one.
Once you get in though, BGG is back to normal, very fast!

Johnny, I'm assuming this is a ploy to get people to use Opera (which
I approve).

However, I've always used Opera, and it's no dice for me. No links in,
it's the usual dead page, with the following code:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

background-color: lightsteelblue;
}

.titlebox
{
font-size: 20px;
font-weight: bold;
border: solid 2px black;
padding: 1em;
width: 800px;
text-align: center;
background-color: white;
}

.sf
{
font-size:15px;
}

ul
{
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
}
ul li
{
padding:0;
margin: 0;
list-style-type: none;
text-align:left;
}

</style>

<body>

<div class='titlebox'>

<div class='sf'>We apologize for the inconvenience</div>

It *would* be bad if the site were available through the "Go here for
support" link ...

Have you activated the "Display hidden code" function in Opera?

I would have to say that the OP and the others claiming this works for
them are just being trolls. I would guess that BGG derives most of its
earnings from advertising so it would make sense to prevent eyeballs
onto the site ... especially after being down for two days. Yeah,
right.

There's no troll like an April Fool's troll! But it is too bad the
site went back down for real before some of the later posters could
get the secret login to work... back down again for me too. :-/

There was no secret login for me ... it just worked, until about an
hour and a half ago. Same as usual. Then it was down again, like now.

Well, it appears to be down again. I did capture this status update
from Aldie from this morning, Sunday April 1st, 2012 at 10:15 AM CDT.

Hi Y'all

Once again I apologize for the massive underestimate of downtime this
weekend. As you can see we're back up and running (albeit slowly).
Unfortunately I need to get some sleep before I can tackle the
problems that the new setup is causing.

Please have patience - we will get the kinks worked out.

Oh, and a bonus - no silly April Fool's prank this year (I think).

Well, this is not really a funny one. First BGG is down for the better
part of two days, and then this...
...plus, I tried Firefox which (as pointed out) does not work, and
then tried IE which does not work for me, either...

For users like me, who are disinclined to install more browser stuff,
this is more of an annoyance than a joke. Laugh all you want about me,
but this is not funny.

Reading several entries here for the last few days, I was really
thinking about donating money net time I had any (which always is not
really much, if any). But if this is the joke, then I think BGG can
live without my donation...

There's no secret login. View the page source, there is only one <a>
tag and that is to come to this Google group

Very clever! Very small mouse-over though.
