Dears,

Warm greetings!

In case you are facing the problem mentioned below and in case you are not yet aware of the solution, kindly read ahead.

Even otherwise, if and when your time permits, kindly please read the sections 'Humble request', 'Tips on key mappings', 'Uniqueness of Azhagi/Azhagi+', 'Unique/special features of Azhagi/Azhagi+' and 'Kindly spread the news', as you find below. Thanks.

Problem description:
When you type ananthan, kumaarar, jananam, etc. in MS-Word 2007 (and above), it gives you அன்ந்தன், குமார்ர், ஜன்ன்ம், etc.

Solution:
Please note that the above is NOT a problem related/caused to/by Azhagi. It is a problem related to MS Word 2007 (and above). Solution is available within Azhagi/Azhagi+ itself if you click the menu item "Help->'Automatic Pulli' in MS-Word". The solution is available online at http://azhagi.com/helptips.html#SequenceChecking

Humble request
With regard to the above problem, I would wish to share with you the fact that invariably all the users who had reported the above problem (one user a month on an average, perhaps) had assumed that the above problem was definitely due to Azhagi/Azhagi+ only and not due to MS-Word. And, some of the users were reporting it a long time after starting to use Azhagi/Azhagi+. In other words, based on their assumption (wrong assumption), they decided to live with it, using alternate cumbersome ways to solve the abovesaid problem.

Not only with respect to the above problem, but with certain other issues too (for which solutions existed/exist), some users (even long-time users) tend to remain quiet without writing to me to find out the solution.

Considering the above, I humbly request users to write to me, whatever be your problems. In some rare cases, a direct solution may not exist. In such cases, I will inform you of the same or let you know whether it will be available in the next version. Sometimes, it may be about the existence of a feature or availability of Azhagi for Android, etc., etc. In such cases, I can let you know whether such and such feature is available (OR) I can very well suggest you any other appropriate software (if available) out of the various ones listed out by me at http://azhagi.com/indic.html. Sometimes, I may not be knowing the solution too. In such cases, members of the group can help you out, if they know a solution. So, under any circumstances, writing to me (or the group directly) is always going to help you out in one or other way. So, please do write. Please do not hesitate to write. Particularly, please do not continue to live with a problem, based on your own assumptions.

Tips on key mappings
Sometimes, it may not be to do with any issues but with the way the users type itself. i.e. few users type in Azhagi/Azhagi+ without knowing all the flexibilities and user-friendliness in the key mappings offered by Azhagi/Azhagi+. For e.g. few users may be still typing as aNdam, nanRi, kaRRu, viSwam, kOvil, etc. without knowing that they can easily type the same as andam, nandri, katru, viswam, koavil, etc. (to get அண்டம், நன்றி, கற்று, விஸ்வம், கோவில், etc.) In order to get பெட்ரோல், some users type 'pet', leave blank, then 'roal' and thereafter delete the blank-space. This is not needed. They can get பெட்ரோல் by typing peTroal itself. All of these and much more are explained with great many examples inside Azhagi/Azhagi+ help topics itself. You can read more on them online too at http://azhagi.com/easytam.html

Kindly spread the news
If (and only if) and when possible, with http://azhagi.com/spread.html as basis, kindly spread the news of Azhagi, Azhagi+ and all softwares of their kind. Thanks in advance. For your information, 'Computer Ulagam' (January issue) carried out an article on Azhagi, Google transliteration, e-Kalappai and NHM writer. Thanks a LOT to Mr. NavaRajan to inform me about the same and also hand over the magazine at my home when I had only requested him to send (if at all possible) scan copies of the article. http://azhagi.com/press.html holds details on this article. By the by, there was an article in 'The Hindu' last year (Feb 21, 2013). Those who are interested can find links to read that article too at http://azhagi.com/press.html

My best wishes for all your noble endeavours..........
