Due to poor planning, our university uses wall mounted racks to house all of our technology in each classroom, forcing us to use wireless keyboards in classrooms. Due to students often walking away with wireless mice we made a decision to use all-in-one keyboards.

We've been using Adesso WKB 400us models but are looking for another model, i've seen the logitech 400 series, and k830 series (but they don’t have batteries) I'm wondering if anyone is using a similar keyboard and mouse all-in-one unit and if so if they could recommend one that works well, and is not going to die after a few months in a classroom.

I have had very good success with the Gearhead Wireless Desktops KB4950TPW.  I had one of these in a classroom with a cement floor that was droped numerous times and it kept working.  When I left that position it was going on 4 years of service for that ketboard.  I changed the batteries 2 or 3 time in it over that span.
