Hi Janat,
That’s a good question, and one we are asked quite often in AuthorAID.
There are many factors to bear in mind (for example the exact authorship order can sometimes differ by discipline), but the best general approach that we would advise is to follow the ICJME recommendations, which can be found here:
There is also a new taxonomy called CRediT which is becoming increasingly popular and is used by many reputable publishers – it switches the emphasis from ‘authorship’ to ‘contributorship’ https://casrai.org/credit/
Does anybody have any other advice or experience of how this works in your discipline?
Best wishes
Andy

Hello Everyone,
I am writing a manuscript and I have more than four team members on the project. How do I position their names in order of importance in relation to the publication?
For example, the first author, second.............last . Request for guidance
Thank you

Hi everybody! My name is Gabriela,
Thank you for letting me in.
I have a biology degree from Simon Bolivar University, two and a half years of experience in the molecular/genetics area.
I'm pretty interested in the neuroscience, neuro-degenerative and aging path.
Didn't get the opportunity to follow my studies due to financial reasons. However, I want to return to this world as soon as I can.
Reading papers, collaborating in projects is my only way to keep doing what I love! To feel that I'm still close.
If you can take a look at an article where I collaborated with the great Dra. Magdalena Mroczek who gave me this huge opportunity here's the link.
