Good God... You started this post so well... How can you think that loser has anything od value to say? He's a misinformed, slimey looking nerfherder, which doesn't belong anywhere on that side of a camera.

Be careful what you ask for... from observing the level of detail in books a
Star Wars fan friend of mine has, the Lucas Empire has probably explained it all
in excruciating detail. Heading down this path could well be a first step
towards the dark side.

p.s. there's a whole net of Star Wars fanatics out there - if you must know
these things go ask some.

Heh, you should see them on a UNIX/Linux newsreader... all these "^M"'s at
the end of lines too. Sofcom must be sending articles in DOS ASCII format or
something. These control chars make it a little hard to read sometimes...

(FWIW, this is apparent on the current stable TIN release (see my headers)
and slrn 0.9.6.2/Linux)

Not quite, the plural for nerf is nerf, ......as in fish...so it's a 'herder of nerf.'
(also spelt nerff ).

case 1.; Last night I again saw a herd of nerf.
Herd of nerf ?
I've certainly heard enough
No, no, no, I mean a nerf herd.
I don't care what a nerf heard, I'd prefer to fish.

Which brings us to the word, nerf, in it's adjectival form,
where you 'nerf for nerf'.

Case 2. The nuff nuff had had enough of nerfing for nerf,
. ..and instead went fishing in the surf with the serf.

This should clear things up.

Zoot..................still enjoying the vortex.

Yes, I know about the BTVS theme by Nerf Herder... I was just wondering what
it actually *meant*

No, that would be Four Star Mary...
Nerf Herder plays the BTVS theme.
I knew that, I was just wondering if the phrase 'nerf herder' actually had
some meaning....

OK, since you caught me out, I'll come clean: early in The Empire
Strikes Back, Han and Leia are arguing, and she calls him a "nerf
herder!" That's it :)

Copying straight from A Guide to the Star Wars Universe (1984) a Nerf

e.g.
Netscape: Edit / Preferences / Mail&Newsgroups / Messages :
"wrap incoming messages to window width" - would solve that problem
"wrap outgoing, plain text messages at XX characters" - would mean you
probably won't create the problem for others........

other browsers would have same options

Hey, there's nothing wrong with paying tribute to a classic movie!
