Thompson Technologies is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level LAMP Software Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in West Mid-town Atlanta, GA. You will be mentored by senior engineers that will help you cross train on PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and MySQL. For this role, you will be writing Procedural PHP code, utilize your SQL skills and have a basic understanding of the Linux command line. Requirements:

  • The Procedural PHP Developer (LAMP) is responsible for the SDLC of customer applications, including: design, database and application development, testing and bug fixes
  • High degree of proficiency in Procedural PHP, with 2 or more years' experience programming PHP for large-scale projects in a Linux environment (Not Windows!)
  • Maintaining and supporting our LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) software products
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong MySQL skills with the ability to understand, analyze and write complex MySQL queries
  • Competence in interacting with a basic LAMP development environment (minimum 2 years' experience)
  • Strong knowledge of client-layer technologies: HTML, CSS JavaScript
